A Few Words About Me
By the age of 33, Al Riddick and his wife (Lesia) achieved their debt freedom goal. They have no mortgage, no school loans, no auto loans, and no credit card debt. As a result of lessons learned during their journey to financial freedom, Al launched Game Time Budgeting, an award-winning, Cincinnati-based financial wellness firm that strives to help others learn behaviors to spend less so they can have more. Al’s dynamic, engaging, and high-energy presentations inspire audiences to claim their financial power by equipping them with the mindset and tools to enhance their financial fitness.
As a sought-after speaker and workshop facilitator, Mr. Riddick has appeared at Fortune 500 companies which include: Procter & Gamble, Toyota, Kroger, Macy’s, UPS and Cardinal Health. Al has been featured in Money and Black Enterprise magazines and has been a guest on ABC, NBC, and CBS affiliated stations in Cincinnati. He recently completed his first book, The Uncommon Millionaire: Financial Success Begins with Behavior which reveals a small-town boy’s journey from the North Carolina tobacco fields to achieving millionaire status in his late 30’s. As Al often says, “You have to give money purpose, direction, and an assignment, or it will misbehave.” In an effort to positively impact financial literacy among youth, Al released Money $mart Teens in the fall of 2016.
Mr. Riddick is a Board of Trustees member at the University of Cincinnati Economics Center. He is also a board member of Envision Children, a Cincinnati nonprofit that helps opportunity deprived youth enhance their math, science, critical thinking, and reading skills. When he’s not helping others maximize their financial potential, Al and Lesia enjoy international travel, salsa dancing, and spending time with family and friends.
“Al’s presentation was life-changing. It helped me focus on the mentality (discipline, process, risk, rewards) required to become debt-free and financially fit. We’ve paid off $75,000 in debt and have one student loan remaining. We plan to be debt-free by 2021 (mortgage included) and have been able to save more for retirement while enjoying vacations and activities with our children. Thank you Al!”
Shannon Grissom, Marketing Manager, Creative Services (Cintas)
“You were powerful and your personality is full of life and energy! People are still talking about the impact you left after your session. You inspired me to pay off ALL my credit cards and loans ($60,000).”
Daphne J., Brand Strategy & Management (Cardinal Health)
“What an amazing class! The playbook is an excellent resource. I could hardly wait to get home to share the information with my significant other. We made an agreement to work towards financial freedom and understand it will be a journey.”
